Shots all around

Today was a big day at the Malone house, we had shots all around. Morgan had her 4 year appt. & Claire had her 6mo. appt.

Morgan got 4 shots yes 4 needles. I think this was as hard in me as it was on her. I had to hold her arms down & I just kept saying I love you, I love you , I love you while she screamed bloody murder. It really upset me. The good news though is that "WE" don't have to get shot again for 6 years.(she will be 10)She is still milking it for all it's worth. She weighs 35.2# and is 40 1/2 inches tall. She has gotten so big!

Then before I could even calm Morgan down the nurse was ready to do Claire. That was a little hard to swallow too. Claire had 2 shots and only cried for a minute. I think it hurts worse when you know whats coming! LOL! Claire weighs 17.8# and is 27 inches long. I compared her to Morgan @ 6 months and Claire is exactly the same length but 1 1/2# heavier than Morgan was. (of course she was born 1 # heavier & 2 inches longer)

Memorial Day!

We didn't do much over the Memorial day weekend because most of my family was out of town. We did have Morgan's birthday party on Saturday but Monday we took The girls to Cadillac Ranch. Morgan really loved seeing the cars "growing" there!




I thought this was pretty cute too. Morgan has a new obsession with lipstick. She found MINE!!

Praise the Lord!!!

I have an awesome praise report to share with everyone! Caleb is going to get his eyes fixed! This has been a desire of Caleb's heart for awhile now. Here is how it has come about...My mom works as a surgery tech for Dr. Rush and there is a new Doctor starting up. Dr. Rush's techs are assisting her in surgery and my mom said she is doing a beautiful job. She is doing her first 20 patients at a special price of 1850. the cost is normally 3600. Our credit from the IRS was 1800. so we are practically getting to do this for free!! Is God good or what! Caleb's 1st appt. is June 24th to see if he is a candidate for the surgery(I think he is) Then the surgery will be on June 26th! Please keep him in your prayers he is nervous.

My Sunshine

This weekend is full of birthdays! 23 Caleb's brother(Michael) 24 Morgan and 25 Caleb's Dad(Opa) so we have a party tonight to celebrate. Morgan picked out a card for her Opa that has music. I was sitting in the floor about to sign the card and when I opened it Claire started dancing! So Stinkin' Cute if I do say so myself! I had to share it with you guys!!!ENJOY!

So have you guys heard about all the abduction/shootins/blah/blah/blah....That has been going on around town lately? Well it has really got me nervous. Sometimes I wish I had not even heard so I can relax and enjoy my summer. I was looking so forward to spending a lot of time outside this summer but now I'm not so sure?
The shootings from i-40 happened in Bryan place which is on my street. Anyway I am rambling but come on now people!

A little something to put things in perspective today.. An article in National Geographic several years ago provided an interesting picture of God's wings.

After a forest fire in Yellowstone National Park , forest rangers began their trek up a mountain to assess the inferno's damage. One ranger found a bird literally petrified in ashes, perched statuesquely on the ground at the base of a tree.

Somewhat sickened by the eerie sight, he knocked over the bird with a stick. When he gently struck it, three tiny chicks scurried from under their dead mother's wings. The loving mother, keenly aware of impending disaster, had carried her offspring to the base of the tree & had gathered them under her wings, instinctively knowing that the toxic smoke would rise.

She could have flown to safety but had refused to abandon her babies.

When the blaze had arrived & the heat had scorched her small body, the mother had remained steadfast. Because she had been willing to die, so those under the cover of her wings would live.

He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge" (Psalm 91:4)

Being loved this much should make a difference in your life.

Jerry's HOME!

First of all let me say that our neighbor calls our dog Jerry, Houdini because he can get out of the yard so well. We have a chain link fence in the back with ivy growing on it and one lady told me she saw him climb the ivy walk along the top of the fence then jump over.LOL! Now to my story...Well he ran away on Wednesday and Morgan was so upset. Jerry hates the rain and he always gets out in storms. He just goes NUTS! I had lunch with Caleb and bought groceries and while I was gone that big thunderstorm came. Well when I got home Jerry was gone!(I was only away for 2 hrs) We looked and looked for him, I even called the pound and he was not there. He usually comes home and sits on the front porch but he never came back. I thought someone had him in there house because he is a cute little dog. Ben his brother was very sad too he would go outside and just look around then come back in. They have never been apart. Anyway today I sent my dad to the pound to look( I didn't think it would be good for Morgan if he was not there) BUT THERE HE WAS! We went and got him. It cost 35.00 and I got him a microchip for 20.00(he gets out a lot) Morgan is so glad he is home she has been bringing him all her toys and food and water. CUTE! Our family is complete again, Thank you Jesus for showing Morgan that you answer prayers!

Happy half birthday Claire!

Claire Analee is 6 months old today! Time really does fly when your having fun! Claire is rolling over, sitting up, playing with toys, eating practically all fruits & veggies along with Gerber puffs & wagon wheels! Her favorite thing to do is play, laugh at & watch her big sister, Morgan. She also has 4 teeth and bites me when I try to feed her & she is not hungry...lol. I guess I'm trying to hold on to the little baby in her, while she is trying to grow. So happy 1/2 year birthday my miracle baby, I am so glad you joined our family!
