Last night our family got the opportunity to see the Kwahati Dancers preform! It was FANTASTIC! Their elaborate costumes kept the attention of my 7 month old. While Morgan said "mommy it (costumes) kinda scared me off a Little" lol!
They danced to a cool drum and song that was accompanied by the bells around their ankles! They had some history before every dance witch made it that much more interesting. I think my favorite dance was the Fire Dance. I was also chosen to dance the friendship dance with the Indians! (thanks Reed) Morgan really liked seeing Mommy out there. I know two of the boys that dance in the show but I did not realise all the hard work that goes into it. If you have a chance this summer take your kids out to the show they will love it. There is dinner at 6:30pm and the dance starts at 7:00pm. They also have a museum and gift shop with some pretty jewelry. You can visit their web site at http://www.kwahadi.com/
